I never let reviews sway me. At the end of the day, it's just the opinion of another person. And while it's nice to see the opinions of others, it's better to create your own.

THIS.
While BOD got a crappy review, I'm getting it and can't wait to play it!!! :D

It depends. If I'm mildly interested in a game and I see it getting pretty low scores all around I may not get it at all. If I'm decently interested I may wait for a price drop. I try to look at many sources of reviews to see the general perceived quality beforehand.

I have learned over the years that it's never best to buy a game without first reading some opinionated reviews. At $60.00 a pop I can't afford to take the gamble of buying a broken game, nor would I personally condone anyone to support developers that take part in these ridiculous practices of releasing something that's busted. Figuring it's ok we'll inconvenience our paying customers by releasing multiple patches that may or may not fix the game we sold them.

Admittedly, I do happen to get swayed by some reviews. It's good to do your research and take account the opinions of others.

I wouldnt say reviews completely sway me. I do look at them to see what is bad about a game, then look up footage of the game and decide whether these flaws will bother me or not.

I try to only let reviews sway me if almost every site that I trust says to stay away from it. If it's just one poor score here and there, and the other are average-good, I'll still get it.

I create my own opininion, I'm never swayed by reviews, places like IGN are so brought out there is no way that decent games get low scores and crap games like CoD get almost perfect scores without somthing going on, the only reviewer on IGN I trust is Audry Drake and her reviews for Pokemon as she is a long time fan.

I agree, Audrey Drake is the reviewer I most trust. She likes most of the games I do, too.
