Greetings,
I managed to pick up my Wii U first thing Friday morning but only now have gotten the time to set it up.
Anyway my gamepad is still charging after more than the recommended 2 and a half hours it states in the manual. I'm already getting impatient and due to my awful internet connection, I can see the update on top on this taking hours.

My question is:
Can I begin the Wii U Console setup while my gamepad charges?

Gamepad can be used while charging in my experience.

in fact, i use the gamepad most of the time while charging than when its not
