Sorry to disappoint you, feld0. I'm going to say the playstation 3. Since it's not a portable system, it has a lot more opportunity for better games. If you like traditional video games I would say the 3ds. The video game industry has changed, and the gaming systems also need to change with it. We actually care about the animation and voice acting now, since the modern playstation games are like interactive CG movies. But, I have to say I admire the 3rd for sticking with the traditional style, without falling into the traps like the rest of the gaming industry.

3DS vs. Wii

Well, Wii wins out either way, because it has Rune Factory Frontier, the longest game I've ever played. I have no other reason.
