#314908 Reggie talks about Zelda U's E3 absence

Posted by NintendoReport on 18 June 2015 - 08:18 AM

Guys, Reggie and all of the big wigs at Nintendo are puppets. Who's really pulling the strings?

Henson company and Disney.

"We showed it last year as we thought it would be a 2015 released" eh, why not show it this year then if its not coming until 2016.

The contradiction.

#314780 IGN:The Legend of Zelda Still Coming to Wii U

Posted by AdmiralClassy on 17 June 2015 - 03:53 AM

I'm sure it will still come to wii u but if it doesn't launch on nx I'll be surprised (assuming nx is home console)

Even if nx launches a year later than zelda u it would still be a smart idea to release the "definitive" edition on nx with improved graphics and some additional content as a launch title for the system.

#314795 Who would buy a Wii U now?

You know, this would have been the perfect opportunity for Nintendo to announce a price cut on the Wii U.

#314873 Where do we go from here?

Posted by Xiombarg on 17 June 2015 - 06:14 PM

How about instead of making it a forum site exclusive to one console just make it a forum site on all things Nintendo? That way you won't have to change the name every time a new console is out. :P

I could potentially do that, I probably would have actually done it by now if I had the ability to delete subforums.

well, if someone else owns the site and gets the required perms to run it (even just basic ones for editing sub forms or something) would you have any idea how to bring traffic in? because thats the main issue is that there isnt anyone left, im just here because i made na account years ago and check back like once a week. Only been active recently due to e3 and there is actually stuff to talk about

#314813 Next proper Metroid Prime not likely until Nintendo's next console

Posted by magiciandude on 17 June 2015 - 10:33 AM

It irks me to know that they never considered a Metroid game for the Wii U.

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to put it, but there's something that's on my mind. So it seems more and more likely that Nintendo's next platform will be a new console and got me thinking "What happens to this forum then?" If I'm not mistaken, this site was created back before the Wii U was known by its codename "Project Cafe". So what happens when the console is unveiled and eventually released? Do we change the name of the site or must we depart and find a new place?

Just change all forum categories to reflect the new product. :)

I am sure Mourn will add a few sentences. hehe

Instead of putting money into developing some games they spent all their budget on Muppets of themselves. Bravo Nintendo, bravo.

Yeah, I guess they had no budget left over after the puppets. Yeah that's what they did. What a terrible business decision... All their resources... just gone like that...  <_<

Yea, tbh they really didn't even treat Starfox like a franchise we haven't seen in years. If they would have unveiled that last as the big surprise I think many people would have looked at the conference differently.

As goofy as it was I felt the intro was pretty hype and a good way to start the show and lead into SFZ. I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion but it really wasn't that bad. Certainly not marginally better or worse than Xbox or PS. We're just spoiled because last year Nintendo owned E3. I'm a little let down to because I expected the same as last year but there's some great games coming. Yes, along with crap... crap I don't want or asked for but ppl are really overreacting IMO. It wasn't mind blowing but not god awful as ppl are making it out to be.

One of the biggest problems for me was, they set the standard to high by opening with Star Fox, like others mentioned, the pacing was just terrible. I didn't really expect this year to be an exciting year at E3 for ANY of the companies, just to see a bunch of games and that's pretty much what Nintendo showed. Just a bunch of random games. There was no real WOW! moment from them this year and that's kinda what I was waiting for. After Reggie was done speaking I was kinda like, welp that's it?

Nintendo would of been better off leaving word of star fox out of last year's e3, and keeping it under cover until this year.
