In Topic: NX revealed... it's a hybrid.

The casuals have all left to tablets and smartphones, that's a fact. What Nintendo is doing is trying to compete in that branch I see. It's gonna be real hard to make it seem worth to buy either this Nintendo tablet thing or a regular tablet.

I would definitely just forget the casual industry as that one is pretty much dead now for consoles. Unless the NX is really cheap or something, it's probably gonna flop.

Also, since it runs on a Tegra 1 or 2, this means it's gonna be weaker than PS4 and XBONE, especially with the new Scorpio and NEO soon releasing. So Nintendo is gonna lose on third party support again. Consumers are gonna have to buy both the NX and another console/PC if they wanna play all types of games.

The X2 should be more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One. Easily. Although we don't know the full specs yet. Although, the X1 rumor probably is stemming from the dev kits are using the X1 while Nvidia finishes the X2/NX version of the chip.

Two Words: Virtual Reality. Or maybe Augmented Reality (think Microsoft HaloLense). If Nintendo released that it would be able to compete head on with what other companies are doing.

Oh, and there is no winning developers back. The only thing we will see is more work being done with third parties. But other then that, we won't see big franchises come to NX.

Eh, I don't know. I can try to guess the logical evolution of an existing Nintendo product (hence my believe in what the console will be) but I can't even begin to predict when Nintendo goes all left field. All I know is that it'll be a little weird then I'll want it badly.

Blackberry's QNX OS is capable of dynamic network distributed processing, where a device can link to other devices on a network and offload work to them as if they were another video card and such. It would be interesting if the NX can do something similar.

Nintendo should buy QNX from Blackberry so they have a solid operating system for the NX. But that's unlikely to happen since we haven't heard about it

I hope that the NX will come out in 2017. That would be five years for the Wii U, and give developers and Nintendo time to make games for it. Don't make the same mistak you made with Wii U.

In Topic: Nintendo Names New CEO

Tatsumi Kimishima
Tatsumi Kimishima has been named the new CEO. His background includes being the President of NoA for 5 years, I heard he also led The Pokemon Company but I'm not sure. He also isn't a game designer, just business. More here:

It looks like they are setting up a Triforce management system. This new guy I think is here to make the right business decisions, then Shaggy to make the Creative ones and the other guy (sorry cant remember his name) for Technology choices.
