In Topic: US buddies who games have you got and so far, what would your rate them?

It's quite similar to NSMB Wii in that the more players there are on screen the more chaotic and hectic the gameplay is. My wife and I usually end up becoming mortal enemies when we're playing together. However, the new Boost Mode, where one player helps by inserting blocks via the Gamepad, is actually pretty awesome especially when a less experienced player is the one actually doing the platforming, and the more skilled one is helping them out through block placements.

I'm going to have to try using the gamepad while my girlfriend platforms then, Thanks for the tip.

I have played it that way and I completely agree with you. But that's the issue. Playing that way changes the experience completely. But what can you say for those who don't have the luxury of playing this way? For a game that's suppose to market the Wii U, a system meant to reinvent the way games handle the single player experience, why is the experience dependent on multiplayer? Not to mention a single player is actually limited while playing the game. Online could have changed this, it would've have created the same magic, but playing with some of the users on here would've made the experience better than what I get by myself.

I didn't give a full review for reason being I already gave one in the site's unofficial podcast (link in signature).

I can't disagree with what you're saying. I'm sure that it would have been great, but I'm guessing the biggest limiting factor was trying to find a way to determine who gets to play what role. I also imagine that since it isn't a Drop In/Out style game, It would bring gameplay to a halt if somebody dropped from your game. Have you played the New Mario Bros? I find it has the opposite effect. The more people playing that one, the less fun I seem to have. anyone have an opinion on the Multi for Mario?

My personal top 5 games I want to see:

1. Pokemon (3D/HD RPG with all pokemon, gym leaders and regions).
2. WWE series (with all features).
3. A superhero game (MMO, multi-player/online features or single player with a create-a-superhero/supervillain feature).
4. Revival of Jade Cocoon (with merging system for the first game and loads more minions etc.)
5. Watch Dogs.

I can see most of those making it, but I'm a little confused on Jade Cocoon. If Jade Cocoon made a 3rd game (4th if you include the mobile game) It will probably end up on a Playstation system. Nintendo already has Pokemon which has a far greater following. Don't get me wrong JC was an amazing game, that rarely gets the credit it deserves. the development company, Genki, is much better known for racing games than for JC, and I don't think they're in a hurry to stop making cell phone games, lol.

I won't give official ratings for the obvious (I think), but I will say Nintendo Land would be through the roof if it had online. Playing with someone really does change the experience for you.

Have you played it with a group of people yet? I don't think that online play could even touch how much fun it is to have 4-5 people in a room playing together. The 4 vs 1 games are especially great, because they Gamepad user is singled out, and the Wii Remote users will undoubtedly plot against Him/Her. I think Nintendo Land is worthy of about 90/100. It's a fantastic party game, but nothing beats the 5 player modes.
