Yes. You can chat using Miiverse

First of all, you need to have eshop credits and beaten the first world in the game.
Next, you need to recive a spotpass from New. Super Mario Bros. 2. (You need spotpass activated in order to get it.)
Then, choose shop from the coin rush menu and purchase your content.
