Split screen multi player Sonic Racing Transformed?

Is there any way to not use the gamepad screen when playing multi player? we've got a nice big screen TV and I would rather not be hunched over looking at the mini screen

How do I draw on this thing?

Trying to find the draw app for the game pad, need help fining it

Just purchased a Wii U that will not be opened until 5/JUN (our twins 6yr B-day) me and the little man (he doesn't know) will be pretty keen on it also, I haven't had a console for a while and have said when a HD Wii is released I will buy! perviously I've owned:

Sega Master System 2

Nintendo 64

Xbox 360 (sold it 5yrs ago)

now Wii U!

play a lot of Shooter co-op games on my mate's Xbox and PS3

but looking to diversify with the WiiU

Right now we've got: just dance 4 and rabbids land but I'm interested in Sonic transformed, Nintendo land and I'm after quality shooter (Nintendo need a Halo type game IMO)

Looking forward to new WiiU releases!
