In Topic: Wii U gets an update day 1

Well, at least this will show everyone how to update on day one, and as someone already said this means they could start manufacturing consoles and boxing them up and continue to work on MiiVerse and other features right up to launch.

Yeah, Reggie said on Spike that they are only discussing launch window games right now. Which is annoying, people don't only buy a console for what is available at launch but for what they know is coming up. Super Mario Galaxy wasn't within the 'Launch Window' of the Wii, but I'm guessing it added to reasons why people wanted the system at launch.

In Topic: Won't hear from Retro for awhile - per IGN article

I'm glad, even if they don't tell us what it is until next E3. The problem I had this year with E3 is that all the games had been teased before, or announced before. This way, by not knowing next year we will have the surprises. People say they want to be teased and want to know what game they're working on, but will complain next year when there is no 'new' games announced. Nintendo are never ones to bend to pressure though, they do things their way and only their way.

In Topic: Nintendo should release the Wii U next year

This is ridiculous, launching Wii U next year would be the worst decision. Wii U is moving Nintendo into HD, it offers a new way to play and some brilliant games at launch pushing the Wii U back closer to the launch of PS4 and the next Xbox would be a big mistake. In the launch window right now we have;

New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendoland
Darksiders II
AC III
Batman Arkham City
Prop-100
Pikmin 3
Rayman Legends
Wii Fit U
SiNG
Lego City Undercover
ZombiU
Game& Wario
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Scirbblenauts Unlimited

All in the launch window, and that's not even close to the complete list. And personally there's more games in that list I'd want to play than what was released around the time of the Wii, sure there's no Cooking Mama or Billy the Wizard: Rocket Broomstick Racing but I think I can cope without them for a couple of months.

In Topic: RUMOR: Retro's New Game to be "Star Fox – Metroid: Fusion Saga"

Retro have never yet disappointed me, if any other developer was linked with a project like this alarm bells would be ringing. But if it's true, it's in very good hands.
