Nah man, this forum is still young. If this change did somehow happen, it would only really affect about a 1000 people or so, which will only be a fraction of the members in, say, a year
It's really up to the admins; if useless and spam posts don't bug them (they bug the hell out of me), they won't feel the need to change this. I am not one to single anyone out, but there is one really good example on this site of someone who posts for the sake of posting without adding ANYTHING to the discussion in order to rank up, which is really annoying.

I know I'm new and all, but I do have lots of forum experience as I have been a moderator and staff member in other forums, so I know for a fact that this ranking system results in people boosting up their post count just to get ranked. (That wouldn't be so bad if the posts were actually good and not useless like some people do)
In my experience in forums, I have found that the best system for ranking is the "rep system". You gain ranking points accoarding to how many "rep points" you gain. Earning "rep points" comes from people giving a "like" or a "thumbs up" from your post.....this encourages well thought out posts, intelligent posts, funny posts, and contributing posts.
Just something to consider for the future of this forum, as LOTS of people will be joining soon when the WiiU comes out and spamming will be massive because of the current ranking system.
I'de like to know what you guys think of this idea, I'm open to criticism or counter arguments.

How can you honestly think that this list could make a good crossover beat 'em up game?
I will 100% agree with you Fable, Gears and Halo, those are givens. Hell, I'll even give you Alan Wake and Viva Pinata and the rest of the RARE developed games on your list. Mass Effect would never happen, lost odyssey was an over-hyped game that face-planted with critics/gamers and roboblitz/toy soldiers/Splosion are a bunch of indie developed XBLA games that microsoft probably don't even know exist. An xbox version of a massive crossover game like a smashbros would suck....bad, much worse than a sony one.
As much as I dislike the idea of a playstation version of smash bros, the cast would destroy whatever microsoft could put forth.
Uncharted, Sly cooper, Jak & Dexter, Ratchet & clank, Resistance, InFamous, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Heavenly Sword, Heavy rain....That is all that comes to mind; And I didn't even include future Insta-classic games like The Last Guardian an Last of Us.
It's not even funny how much better that sounds than a microsoft one.

They can have different sackboys PS avatars, Other Uncharted characters.
But honestly I think microsoft would make a better ripoff.
Multiple Sack Boys is a really bad idea, it's just grasping at straws. The problem with sony franchises is that they lack depth in the amount of characters per series. Besides Nathan Drake, what does Uncharted have? Sully, Elaine, Chloe....beyond that, the characters are hardly memorable.
I'm also curious as to why you think an xbox version would be better. I feel like they suffer the same problem sony has, maybe to an even worse extent.

...That is not a very impressive list
Sony's established franchises are so diverse, that putting all of the main characters together in one game would just look awkward.

I feel like this high price to develop the tablet controller is a very risky move on part of Nintendo. Nintendo wants everyone to know that they develop family friendly consoles, but how can you be family friendly if it costs so much just to get a second controller for local multiplayer? That price of $60 to develop will likely cause the retail price of the controller to be around $90, give or take. Obviously nothing is certain, so this should be taken with a truck full of salt; hopefully they manage to keep production of the tablet controller down at launch.
