Your Wii U is the SAME EXACT hardware as mine, and everyone else's. There is no way your menus load 50% faster than mine, period.

I clocked mine at 17.5 seconds. Funny thing is, it doesn't feel that long at all. And I'm an impatient person.

It's also a lot more then 10 seconds and the Wii U should have response times similar to that of its competitors. It's closer to 20-30 seconds actually, not to mention the download times are also a joke compared to Its competitots.. It's not getting old and there is no reason why I should stop using the Wii U because of it. Nintendo themselves have already admitted its a problem and are going to try and fix it with an update. But techincally, with the random freezes, loading is a problem.

Freezing has been the biggest problem so far for me. It doesn't happen to often, fortunately.

Wow my post turned into an argument. How about this? If you don't mind the load times then that is just fine, and if you do then that is just fine too. Here is my question now because this one is a bigger problem. NBA 2K13 is freezing on me like every other time I boot it up, and I have had to pull the plug. Is that effing up my Wii U or what?

It's a great system with a wonderful controller and a good game library. The eShop has some pretty good titles like Trine 2 and Nano Assault. If the wait was 15+ seconds, your argument would be more understandable. But it's not.

Like I said in another thread you either have no idea how much slower it is then the other consoles or you're easily satisfied. Not to mention considering you only seem to have praise for the console and Nintendo which is sill because nothing is perfect. Anyways so you're happy with it but a lot of others are not.

I own a Wii U, PS3 and 360. People are whining WAY too much about the load times.

The time spent developing a remake of an old game could be time spent developing a completely new one. I would rather have a completely new game.

No. People just expect things to load up in a reasonable amount of time which they have every right to expect and get. If the PS3 and Xbox 360 can load apps and other UI related stuff quickly so should the Wii U. At the moment is a joke to put it mildly and Nintendo do need to do something about it. Hopefully this new update will fix the problem.

If they can't wait 10 seconds for an app to load, they need to be less impatient and stop whining.

Technically..no one has problems with loading times..since..it loads after all...but a lot of people are impatient and nothing is fast enough now a days

I haven't really had problems with the loading times on my Wii U.

Analog ZL/ZR buttons would only benefit for racing games. I do agree on the no glossy finish though. The same goes for a mic plug-in on the pro controller.
