#153302 How the Wii U will handle against the new Consoles?

Posted by BountyHunter on 28 December 2012 - 06:30 PM in Wii U Hardware

I read somewhere that graphics can't go beyond 1080p, and that next generation consoles will have bigger games with better framerate, and crisper, but we'll never have another n64-gamecube or Xbox-Xbox360

#160864 21K systems sold last week - Nintendos Wii U problems turn into a crisis.

Posted by BountyHunter on 19 January 2013 - 03:46 PM in Wii U Hardware

I was watching IGN's Nintendo Video Chat last night and they made a very good point.

With the 3DS, there was a promise right away of an eShop with new 3DSware and GB/GBC/GBA virtual console games. Not only that, but we had a Zelda game coming out a few months after launch - sure, it was a remake, but it was a Zelda game nonetheless.

With the Wii U, aside from Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, and Lego City Undercover, we don't really have any first party games to really look forward to.

What they need to do is have a Nintendo Direct, and say "We're working on a new Mario, Zelda, and whatever. Here's a few screenshots to debate for a few months/weeks, until E3 when you get a lot of information. That's what they did with 3D Land, which was brilliant. This will show people that, yeah, there will be some cool games coming out, and it is worth getting.

Or, to make it better, they could hurry up with the Virtual Console, as there isn't one yet. Why not have Gamecube games? It should be easy to emulate. The only downfall I can think of is the fact that there are no analog triggers, but in a game like Super Mario Sunshine, that isn't really necessary to use.

Nintendo could do my screenshot idea and say, "But, for now, enjoy playing Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Wind Waker and Luigi's Mansion on the virtual console! Other games coming at a later date!"

They need to preoccupy us with something. If this e3 doesn't announce a ton of great AAA games, then the Wii U might be in trouble for a while.

And to the person that said that we shouldn't worry about sales and just play our system - if the console doesn't sell well, we won't get many games/support from other developers.

#205865 Retro Studios's Game will be announcing real soon.

Posted by BountyHunter on 10 May 2013 - 04:17 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Why are expectations so high for retro's game?

What game have they made since metroid 1 that has been better than the games we get from the likes of crytek?

I think they're competent, and the amount of new hires gives me a bit of hope for a good game, but I don't think they're the best company ever who make the best games ever like the rest of the Wii U fanbase seem to think judging from the Internet.

Well think of it this way.. They revived the Metroid series and innovated it in arguable the best games in the series. Although they've only made four games, (and helped out on Mario Kart 7) none of them have been a misstep. Great company.

#114504 ZombiU Box Art : U for Ugly WiiU

Posted by BountyHunter on 02 October 2012 - 04:40 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Uh, yeah..

A bit too much blood than I'd like on the cover of a game. It looks like something I wouldn't want to present. I loved the Resident Evil: Revelations box art. It was fitting.

#183482 What games are you actually going to buy this year?

I'll try to update this list as more games get announced, but for now..

 -Lego City Undercover

 -Pikmin 3

 -Wii Fit U

 -Game and Wario (possible)

 -Wind Waker HD!!

#172796 Colonial Marines Wii U is worst version and Gearbox made sneaky moves in deving

Posted by BountyHunter on 18 February 2013 - 03:08 PM in Wii U Games and Software

The game doesn't look very good anyways, all the critics are saying it's poor, and my friend told me the same thing.

However, Gearbox is another story... Sure, they make Borderlands, but besides that, they hype their games up to be masterpieces and then when they release they are horrible.

Same thing happened with Duke Nukem Forever.

#155160 Retro's Untitled Project? Speculation thread

Posted by BountyHunter on 02 January 2013 - 07:07 AM in Wii U Games and Software

What games are Retro Studios known for? We'd be able to make some educated guesses based off of that.

They made the three Metroid Prime games, plus the Trilogy, they made Donkey Kong Country Returns, and they made one new track, and remade all the retro tracks for Mario Kart 7. All their games are considered brilliant, so there is good reason for everyone's excitement.

I'm hoping for Metroid Prime 4.

#120812 Delicious Tweets teases about a possible ND with Wii U news before launch

Posted by BountyHunter on 23 October 2012 - 03:20 PM in Wii U Hardware

I've got some ideas...

-Some footage of Smash Bros. (teaser, etc.)
-New Zelda game
-New 3D Mario **'
-New Retro Studios title.

I think the last two are the most probable. As much as people think Nintendo is milking Mario, a new game like Mario Galaxy, 64. or Sunshine would be lovely. Can't wait.

#114507 Confirmed: No online multiplayer for ZombiU

Posted by BountyHunter on 02 October 2012 - 04:49 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I have nothing against single player games... but this is sad... This game was SCREAMING online gameplay.

#124228 NEW NINTENDO LAND!

Posted by BountyHunter on 04 November 2012 - 08:31 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Octopus Dance looks kind of lame, but you never know, I like rhythm games, but this doesn't look interesting.

Yoshi's Fruit Cart looks actually VERY fun. I thought it would be boring when I first saw it, but watch that Gamexplain video, it looks like a very addictive. It makes you use your brain.

I love F-Zero, and even though the Nintendo Land version isn't as fast, it looks very fun.

#175700 Gamecube Virtual Console Suggestions

Posted by BountyHunter on 24 February 2013 - 05:59 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I made this post on the Official Nintendo Magazine forum at officialnintendomagazine.co.uk

I, like many gamers are hoping for Gamecube games on the Wii U Virtual Console. It only makes sense, as it is now two generations outdated. However, there is one thing that the Gamecube controller has that the Wii U pad doesn't - analogue triggers.

If you don't know what these are, they are triggers that react depending on how hard you push them in. So, in Mario Sunshine, lightly pressing the button will allow Mario to spray FLUDD lightly while running around. However holding in the button all the way will make Mario more like a turret, standing in place.

There are ways around it, but it would be difficult, and the tutorials wouldn't match up properly.

So while it may be difficult to put some Gamecube games on the VC, there are ways around it, as I stated in my original post. The touch screen could compensate, and don't forget - Nintendo made Jynx purple in Pokemon Snap to avoid racial problems, (look it up) so I'm sure they can edit text.

But back on topic...

-F-Zero GX
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Chibi-Robo
-Animal Crossing! (YESYESYES)
-Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
-Mario Kart: Double Dash
-Luigi's Mansion

There are so many great games on the Gamecube. I grew up with it, so my list could go on forever..

#114506 What Nintendo Land game are you looking forward to most? + General Discussion

Posted by BountyHunter on 02 October 2012 - 04:48 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't know about you guys, but Nintendo Land is one of my most anticipated games coming out for the Wii U. It's the simple yet deep nature of the games that look great. Plus, who doesn't love some Nintendo fan service?

There are twelve games in all, and these are confirmed to be:

The Legend of Zelda : Battle Quest

Metroid Blast

Pikmin Adventure

Mario Chase

Luigi's Ghost Mansion

Animal Crossing: Sweet Day

Takamaru's Ninja Castle

Donkey Kong's Crash Course

Captain Falcon's Twister Race:

Balloon Trip Breeze:

Yoshi's Fruit Cart

Octopus Dance

Out of all of these, I'd have to say the one I'm looking forward to most is Mario Chase. It may be the visuals, or the fact that it looks so light-hearted and fun, that I could be spending hours chasing or running away from my family and friends.

What games are you looking forward to on Nintendo Land? Are you as anticipated as I am for the game?

#173162 Rayman Legends is getting free online challenges this April and...

Posted by BountyHunter on 19 February 2013 - 03:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Wow.. You know what, I was actually going to "protest" this game by not buying it at release due to selfish developers, but after reading some news, I've learned that it's Ubisoft, not actually the developers of the game. So, I think I'm going to get it like I originally was.

Anyways, yeah, I think that this is a great idea. It will add some nice free content for us Wii U players! :)

#181419 Your Most Anticipated WIi U Games of 2013

New 3D Mario game, Wind Waker HD, Lego City Undercover, Need for Speed, and Monster Hunter.

#117282 What Nintendo Land game are you looking forward to most? + General Discussion

Posted by BountyHunter on 13 October 2012 - 05:49 PM in Wii U Games and Software

How many of them are single player? Those are the ones I'm looking forward to.

We don't know about F-Zero, Yoshi's Fruit Cart, and the Game and Watch one...

But so far, the single player games are:

Balloon Fight Breeze, Donkey Kong Crash Course, and Ninja Castle.

#114631 What Nintendo Land game are you looking forward to most? + General Discussion

Posted by BountyHunter on 03 October 2012 - 08:40 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm sorry for asking (I should be aware already) but can we play multiplayer online? It'd be nice...

We've heard both things - some reporters are saying yes to online, while others are saying no. It's unsure currently, but I'd guess that it'll be local only.

#176766 Bit.Trip Runner 2 out now on eShop

Posted by BountyHunter on 26 February 2013 - 03:55 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I was totally interested, turned on my WiiU, opened eshop, clicked on game, saw pricetag, lold, turned off WiiU, turned on Xbox, play Dead Space.

It's not bad for what's offered. It's a ton of fun, and you get a LOT of content.

#214153 To Everyone Asking for Nintendo's E3 Demos To Be on eShop

Posted by BountyHunter on 01 June 2013 - 04:52 AM in Wii U Games and Software

While this is probably a large factor, considering that at Best Buy, most players will only play the demo once, whereas at home they would play it repeatedly, which would probably make the flaws apparent. I think I know another reason why Nintendo is trying to put them in Best Buy instead of on your Wii U.

We all have the Wii U. We own it, and we will most likely buy Smash Bros, Mario, etc. However, Nintendo has to market to the people who don't know what the system is, or people who are on the fence about buying it.

#170422 No EA sports games for the Wii U !

Posted by BountyHunter on 11 February 2013 - 05:04 PM in Wii U Games and Software

This was actually the start to the Dreamcast's fall, but of course, in a way, it turned out for the best as SEGA was forced to make their own sports games that were way better than EA's... But anyways, I never cared about them, as they were all pretty much the same.

#178019 Lego Batman 2 coming to wii u

Posted by BountyHunter on 01 March 2013 - 03:50 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I played and completed the game on both Wii and 3DS. Both are great, but the Wii version is better because of the open world levels. Everything in the game is great, the way you unlock characters is exciting, and it's currently the best Lego game out.

#159906 Retarded Miiverse Admins.

Posted by BountyHunter on 16 January 2013 - 11:55 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't think it's the moderators, I think it's just that it got a ton of reports.

#159680 I am no longer defending Wii U...

Posted by BountyHunter on 15 January 2013 - 06:22 PM in Wii U Hardware

You're right. When you go on Miiverse, you see hundreds of thousands of happy fans talking about how much they enjoy the system. Some of them are casual, but others are hardcore gamers. (I hate those terms, and I'm using them for lack of better terms..) This shows that the Wii U is doing it's job.

Also, what did the 360 have at launch? Perfect Dark Zero, Call of Duty 3,PGR 3?..

#117281 IGN shows off Transparent WiiU (Shows everything under the hood)

Posted by BountyHunter on 13 October 2012 - 05:44 PM in Wii U Hardware

That looks pretty neat, I never buy more than one console, so I'm just gonna stick with my Black Wii U.

Nonetheless though, the specs still seem to impress me. :)

#159905 Petition for Zelda MM remake on Wii U !

Posted by BountyHunter on 16 January 2013 - 11:53 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I would rather see it on the 3DS, but that Wii U trailer was amazing. I signed it, but I doubt it will work.

#161059 Nintendo working on Mario Kart HD and more

Posted by BountyHunter on 20 January 2013 - 08:51 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I actually saw that a few days ago, but yes, it's awesome news!

I can't wait to see what the new Mario Kart has in store for us, plus the new Zeldas. Also, let's hope that the new 3D Mario is like 64/Sunshine or even Galaxy and less like 3D Land.

Mii Shooting? Sounds kinda cool. And Wii Sports U was expected.
