Posted by Nintendo on 17 November 2012 - 06:10 AM in Wii U Games and Software

It's pretty cool, I'm yet to find any gameplay though :/

EDIT: Missed that ^ hah, nice. I can't believe people used to play those kind of games, looks so boring :)

Remake?
I'd call it a reboot.
Remake sounds like it's the exact same concept.

So does reboot. Like it got shut down, and now it's been re-booted.

'Zombi'
Ubisoft's first game they ever published.

"Zombi is an icon-driven arcade adventure video game. It was Ubisoft's first publication, released when the company was established in 1986. In 2012, Zombi will have a Wii U exclusive reboot called ZombiU."

"The ZX Spectrum version was awarded 87% by Sinclair User magazine and 77% byYour Sinclair, both reviewers were impressed with the immersive atmosphere.
CU Amiga awarded the Amiga version of the game 85%, whilst German magazine Amiga Joker scored it at 69%"

Interesting.

#129282 ZombieU too intense?..

Posted by Nintendo on 14 November 2012 - 01:55 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I like difficult games, they make the game more challenging and increase the length.

I agree, anyone know if there'll be any difficulty settings?

The ability to create better graphics will always progress.

#136736 Zombie U 2 wishlist....

Posted by Nintendo on 23 November 2012 - 08:36 AM in Wii U Games and Software

The irony of asking for better AI in a zombie game. Lol

What? haha

#137275 Zombie U 2 wishlist....

Posted by Nintendo on 24 November 2012 - 02:57 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Zombies are meant to be dumb. So asking for smarter ai makes then less zombie like. I think that's what he means.

Anyway
1 more creative puzzles
2 make zombies more deadly
3 more melee weapon variety
4 set it in blackpool england (where I live)
5 more melee weapon combat actions.
6 better graphics of course.
7 more creative uses of the gamepad.

Yeah, but they're meant to come to you, and run and stuff like that.

ZombiU has only just come out and we've started talking about a sequel? damn.
I'd want the ability to ADS, a survival mode like CoD Zombies, Co-Op online and local, Better AI, More guns and more character customization.

#137870 Youtube+Headphones

Posted by Nintendo on 25 November 2012 - 07:12 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Use the Internet browser to use YouTube, the app is kinda poopy. Then at least you can watch stuff on the GamePad, or even play it on the tv while you browse other pages on the gamepads. Pretty awesome.

Damn, why's the app bad?

#138370 Youtube+Headphones

Posted by Nintendo on 26 November 2012 - 07:49 AM in Wii U Games and Software

If you have a PS3, it's the exact same YouTube app as on there. Not really much of a UI, just kinda scroll around looking through your subscriptions and popular vids and stuff. When you pick a video the info shows up on the GamePad, but you can't watch on there.

It sounds quite good. I don't have a PS3, so that sounds amazing to me. I wouldn't watch it on my gamepad anyway, so that wouldn't really bother me.

#136091 Will you share your Wii U at Thanksgiving?

Posted by Nintendo on 22 November 2012 - 07:34 AM in General Gaming

Well over at EU we obviously don't celebrate thanksgiving. I'm having the same problem though... I'm hopefully going to get a Wii U for christmas, and it'll be hard to share it with people. For some reason, I really wouldn't want people touching the gamepad -.-

What did you play? PC, Xbox, PS3 or nothing?

Don't worry about it.

#148522 Wii U is in a precarious position

Posted by Nintendo on 16 December 2012 - 08:12 AM in Wii U Hardware

Actually Nintendo I think is safe this time because it set itself apart from both Microsoft and Sonys Consoles.

The new Playstation and Xbox will be very similar with their approach to gaming(that is going for horsepower) opposed to the Wii U's innovation with the gamepad. It's such a difference experience where it's worth getting even if you own an xbox/ps3.

Sony this time around is going be in the most trouble as they are already in financial trouble and on top of that have to compete with Microsofts when they both launch.

The Wii U has at least a year head start with the upcoming consoles. Who knows, we might not get one or both of the next gen consoles until 2014?

So before the next two consoles even come out, you can expect to see a $50 price drop on both versions of the console in 2013 sometime(most likely fall/holiday time). This will make the basic 250 and the delux 300.

The Wii launched at a $250 price rang and that seemed to be the sweet spot. Microsoft and Sonys new console will be at a higher price where the casual consumer would rather get the Wii U.

If you have noticed there isn't much marketing for the Wii U. My idea on this is there's no need for it since there isn't any competition and the systems price point is at its highest since it just launched. Why spend all that money now? I believe Nintendo is waiting for the games and maybe a price drop and you can guarantee to see the Wii U marketed all over with commercials and what not before the next two consoles come out.

On top of all this, Nintendos 1st part titles are easily system sellers and have always carried Nintendo through any tough times.

I think Nintendo is safe. ;)

Agreed.
As long as developers manage to carry on cominng up with good uses of the gamepad. More and more will try and jump in on the trend.

Wait until the release before you start worrying :)

#131263 Wii U - Built in Software

Posted by Nintendo on 17 November 2012 - 05:25 AM in Wii U Hardware

Of course it does!

Then why on every single video showing the Wii U Chat, is it silent?
and why does it say here: http://www.nintendo....software/#/chat
that you 'communicate through handwriting"
and it doesn't mention anything to do with the mic.

#131257 Wii U - Built in Software

Posted by Nintendo on 17 November 2012 - 05:20 AM in Wii U Hardware

wow, wii U chat doesn't use the gamepad's inbuilt mic? What is it used for then?

We've already been told we cannot use it for in-game voice chat as well.

#131272 Wii U - Built in Software

Posted by Nintendo on 17 November 2012 - 05:33 AM in Wii U Hardware

Because it's obvious that it uses the GamePad's mic.

If it didn't, they would've made a separate mic attachement and under the Wii U chat section, it would say "Wii U Mic needed. Sold seperately".

nope, it's not obvious. I think it's obvious that for the 100th time in a row, Nintendo's gonna stinge us up.
