Earthbound and Mario & Luigi are both some of my absolute favorites, but Paper Mario barely wins over them for me because of TTYD alone. I just wish they would make another decent one, since Super Paper Mario was just "good" and Sticker Star was a huge disappointment.

How so? When you lightly pressed on the trigger it allowed you to move, and when you click it you stood still. It wasn't the pressure sensitivity, it was the clickable triggers. That could easily be done with the four shoulder buttons: ZR could be light spray and R could be hard spray.
I... did not think of that. So I guess it could still work.

They announced it in the February Nintendo Direct.
How many games would be ruined if they didn't have analog triggers? The only ones I can think of are racing games.
Super Mario Sunshine.

I'm still giving it time. Nintendo isn't going anywhere soon.

Well, we know how inventive the Galaxy games were, so there's definitely going to have to be something really crazy that they introduce. I really hope that they bring back some old powerups, though. The cape from SMW deserves to be put in a 3D game, as long as they nerf it enough so that it will work.

I'm not hopeful on this ever reaching American retail. We didn't get the Charizard one either, which in my opinion looks even better.

There is a lot more violence in the real world than there is in video games and films. How can people shield their children (or themselves) from violence in the media when their country is participating in an illegal war? The government likes to use the media as a scapegoat to cover up their mistakes and distract people from whats really happening in the world.
People were violent long before video games and films became violent. We always have, and always will, have evil psychopaths who spread violence around the world. There is nothing we can do about it unfortunately.
This.
People don't seem to realize that over the last couple of decades that video games have become more and more popular, crimes in the U.S. like murder, rape, robbery, and assault have become much less frequent. Just take a look at this.

So, yeah. NO correlation between video games and violent crime.

I think it depends on your personal preference. I prefer orchestral, because it's what MIDI is trying to synthesize, and MIDI just sounds off to me because of it. Although I think there are probably some cases where real instruments wouldn't be as immersive as synthetics.

Didn't basically everyone get the deluxe? That was my opinion on the situation, anyway.
It seems like most of the people here did, but at the same time, I'm guessing we would probably be considered a pretty "hardcore" demographic.
I think the people who got the basic either:
1) Didn't care about Nintendo Land, the additional HD space, or the Gamepad stand.
2) Couldn't find a deluxe model but still wanted to get a Wii U.
3) Just like white better.

This looks like it will add a lot of shelf value to the game. I wonder if they'll do any sort of additional Scarescraper maps for DLC? Kind of like how in NSMB2, Coin Rush is normally randomized, but the DLC was made up of definitive levels.

1) Nintendo Land
2) NSMB U
3) Batman: AC
...and that's it. I plan on getting more, though.

There should be a settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the Wii screen. From there I'm pretty sure you can set up the internet connection.

It feels like NIntendo was trying to centralize the social aspect of the Wii U with Miiverse. So this seems kind of unlikely to happen. As long as they keep updating and expanding on Miiverse (which could possibly include Facebook, Twitter, etc. linking for those who want it), I'll be content.

This definitely looks interesting. Nintendo would be pretty foolish to not at least include the Remote + Nunchuck control scheme. I'm not sure how popular the touchscreen controls would be, though.

I don't think it's fair for anyone to say definitively and MMO-type Pokemon game will absolutely never work. As long as Nintendo knows that there's a demand for it (which will only rise as time goes on and the average age of Pokemon fans increases), it seems more and more likely that they would take a risk and go for a project like this.
And I agree that it would obviously not be Game Freak that made this, as they seemingly have their hands full with the portable games.
The one thing I'm really wondering about is how they would make it work, especially so as not to alienate a large number of players.
