Since Sunshine had F.L.U.D.D. Galaxy 1 and 2 had space travel, and 3D land was classic Mario in 3D, what gimmick do you think the next Mario game will have?

I think the second gamepad should allow a second player to play separate levels so you can complete your game faster. At least allow a second player top play the level with you to help complete the level quicker.

Umm... Open world? Nah.... idk and second player isnt huge as the other gimmicks.

I've noticed that each super mario has got bigger in size with their names
Super Mario World <--- Earth Sized
Super Mario Sunshine <----Size of Sun
Super Mario Galaxy <---We're now getting to the size of the god damn galaxy apparently
So my prediction that next one will be called Super Mario Universe, and you can't get much bigger than that. Plus it begins with a U
How is this going to be a "Universe" ?! Well online co-op play is probably going to be a big thing. Mario and Luigi working together as a team.

I would like to see some form of a reboot (it might never happen seeing how big the Mario franchise is, with around 10 Mario related games coming out a year), I would also like to see an open world and voice acting (don't forget the thicker plot, no Bowser kidnaps Peach this time!).

Well, we know how inventive the Galaxy games were, so there's definitely going to have to be something really crazy that they introduce. I really hope that they bring back some old powerups, though. The cape from SMW deserves to be put in a 3D game, as long as they nerf it enough so that it will work.

I have no idea. There's so much Nintendo could do with the Gamepad. I think it'll take a cue from the Galaxy games and use the motion control in the Gamepad, but I don't know what they could do with the second screen or even overall gameplay. How it will look blows my mind enough.
Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

How about all water worlds? lol jk.... um... hm... Perhaps a time based gameplay, with classic themes. Mario has a watch or something that slows or speeds objects or areas... or anti-gravity gun and a hazard suit.
