#278688 Do you think Nintendo learned their lesson from that E3 Direct?

Posted by chillv on 26 March 2014 - 05:57 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I never watch Nintendo Directs live. Mostly because I have stuff to do during those hours. It was at least okay to me. I could care less about Little Mac because although I like Punch-Out I am not really a fan of it (I only played it because it was part of the Trial Campaign for Wii U). I am happy to see that the Koopalings are in Mario Kart, but I really want to see that Bowser Jr. is confirmed to return (even though the probability of that happening is 99%). Kirby Triple Deluxe is a game I am really excited about.

#269363 Wii Fit U

I believe Wii Fit U is not absolute on it's weight measures. Also, I believe it will register anyone big and/or muscular as overweight or even obese.

#267546 Nintendo needs to compete?

Posted by chillv on 19 January 2014 - 11:25 PM in Wii U Hardware

Well, I personally feel people need to just let Nintendo do whatever they are doing because obviously all of this complaining on the internet is not really going to do anything and hasn't ever done anything.

Anyway, I personally don't like competition, especially in stuff like this. Mostly because it can lead to some terrible conceqences. Examples are but are not limited to... copy-catting, "me-too" products, rushed releases (which can lead to other bad things), and taking ridiculous risks financially.

I feel that every company should just do their own thing and not worry so much about what others are doing. To be honest, I don't really see the other companies two competing with each other at all. It really just seems to be the gamers with this competition stuff.

But seriously, everybody knows that the Wii U has games at this point. In fact, every console has games.

So basically, they are asking for Nintendo to make a peripheral that allows you to use gamecube controllers instead of them just buying pro controllers. (-__-)

#267493 Wii Fit U

Posted by chillv on 19 January 2014 - 04:30 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Oh yeah I saw something about the free trial. How did that work again? We never bought the first Wii Fit, meant to, but never did. So once the trial runs out, what then? I know you need the board, then you download it, so then your in the trial? So then you need to buy the pedomator? Is it like a by "Jan 30" type of trial?

The trial allows you to download and try out Wii Fit U free for 30 days if you already own a balance board. The download ends on 31, after that, it will be no longer available to download for free, but for the retail price. If you buy a fit meter and sync it to your trial version, you get to keep it forever.

I don't think there was ever a topic for this game, even when the free trial version came out.

Anyway, it came out physically 9 days ago. Do any of you have this game? What do you think of it?

I don't have it, but I plan on getting it soon and from what I have seen, it looks fun, and the fitness factor is an added bonus. The dance, aerobic and balance activities look fun and engaging. The yoga and strength training, although just being regular exercise look engaging too since you have a trainer talking to you and such.

Another thing, I love the whole idea of the fit meter including the challenges to encourage you to keep using it. The features such as the routines, gym communities and personal trainer are also nice additions.

This will be my first Wii Fit game. I'm buying because I am a bit on the lazy side when it comes to exercise, mostly because I find it boring. This game seems like it will make fitness more engaging to me. I'm not trying to lose weight of anything (if I do I will become flat stanley)

Also, I heard that the game will read you as overweight or obese if you are a big, muscular person. However, I am actually a scrawny dude so this doesn't bother me. Speaking of that, simply the body test looks fun.

I can't wait to get my hands on this, the balance board and the fit meter. Heck, I even bought two games that come with wii remote plus controllers just so I can have all of the equipment to play all of the activities.

#267482 Let's Talk IPs!

Posted by chillv on 19 January 2014 - 03:23 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I would like a rhythm game. However, the funny thing is that I sometimes hear that Nintendo doesn't make new IP's. However, that's not really true. They do make new IPs, but they usually put their existing franchises or characters in them. Examples are Game & Wario, NES Remix and Nintendoland. I could list more better examples, but I think you already understand where I'm coming.

However, do keep in mind that this doesn't actually mean that Nintendo doesn't make IP's with original characters and such.

You have two Nintendolands and two Scribblenauts Unlimiteds?

Anyway, I have Nintendoland, NES Remix, Wii Party U, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Little Inferno, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, Game & Wario, Art Academy Sketchpad, Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD. Pikmin 3, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olimpic Winter Games, Family Party 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade and a ton of virtual console games.

#267415 Hello, everyone, Nintendo Wii U fan here!

Posted by chillv on 19 January 2014 - 09:02 AM in Introduction Central

Hello, I'm chillv. I've been a huge fan of Nintendo ever since the Gamecube, and so far Nintendo has made Wii U my dream console with my dream games. Outside of gaming, I like to do art. My dream is to be an indie video game designer someday and make my own games, In fact, I write down my ideas for fullfledged video games in seperate booklets.
