Although we were all excited when Nintendo extended the Year of Luigi in 2014, all things must, sadly, come to an end Miyamoto has now confirmed that the Year of Luigi will be conclude on March 18th, 2014. Here's the official Miiverse post:

To appeal to more Female gamers, Nintendo should just continue adding more Female characters to their well-known game. What they're doing with Rosalina (Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros.) is a step in the right direction, but this, this is just disgraceful.

Nobody had any issues comparing Skyrim to Skyward Sword (that's where I pulled the example from, along with the fact that Bethesda's games are notorious for glitches). I get what you're saying, they're different kinds of games but they're within the same realm. Games compete with one another regardless of genre anyways. It's not even about comparing those two games specifically, simply that these days it's become quite common for even really big games to be released incomplete and having to be patched from the get go. Nintendo on the other hand, hasn't done that as of yet. I'm not saying that Nintendo is the only one who makes good games at all, it's simply a matter of quality control.
Do what you want man. Makes no difference to me.
