#85561 Non Specific Action Figure Super Smash Bros.

Posted by Tux on 07 June 2012 - 07:12 PM in Wii U Hardware

I'd prefer an actual video game character with some history instead. I think it would be cool to see him as an assist trophy though.

#85042 Possibly 3 new Wii U games

Posted by Tux on 06 June 2012 - 01:48 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Nin Stream did alledge that none of the games mentioned were the right length of letters for when they had the that facebook status of games.

I haven't checked that, I might aswell

I completely forgot about that status. They said they would scratch them off to reveal the games and still have not done so. That could easily be an oversight, but who knows.

#84621 Where can I watch the roundtable? And what time is it uk time

Posted by Tux on 05 June 2012 - 04:29 PM in Wii U Hardware

from my understanding its a behind closed doors conference.

This.

As Fig said, IGN will be live blogging the event. I'm sure some other outlets will be as well.

#84515 Wii U exclusive Zombie game announced!

Posted by Tux on 05 June 2012 - 12:36 PM in Wii U Hardware

Watch Dogs is a third party game and Beyond is a second party game as Quantic Dream is not owned by Sony. The only one of those three that is first party is The Last Of Us. Also Watch Dog is multiplatform and not exclusive to the PS3.

Watch Dogs was shown on PS3. It's been in development for two years already so I doubt it will come to Wii U. At the moment it's only for PC, PS3 and Xbox.

Guillemot said in an interview today it was on PC.

#84186 Rumour: Watch Dogs could have been running on WiiU with pro controller

Posted by Tux on 04 June 2012 - 09:59 PM in Wii U Games and Software

it was an xbox controller

This.

The right stick is lower than the buttons and the buttons are colored the exact same way as a 360's controller.

#84167 I find it an odd lineup of games from Ubisoft

Posted by Tux on 04 June 2012 - 08:03 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Did you notice the controller the guy was using during the live footage? It had a left joystick at the top. (ruling out ps3), and had a funny placement of the joystick on the right for it to be an xbox plus the controller just didn't look like it had the same design as an xbox exactly. (ruling oout xbox, but not as positive on that one) It looked more like the new U Pro controller to me.

The right joystick is lower then the buttons and the buttons are colored the same way as a 360 controller. It's definitely not a Wii U Pro Controller though.

#59860 High Voltage now a registered Wii U developer

Posted by Tux on 05 February 2012 - 01:01 PM in Wii U Games and Software

They're a decent developer, but they haven't had a great game in my opinion. I wouldn't want Nintendo to even consider buying them until they make a game of value. They need to make something great, where Nintendo "needs" to have them as a developer.

That said, I'm interested to see what they're working on for the Wii U. More hardcore players should definitely help them out this time around.

#59746 Do you still want Miis?

Posted by Tux on 04 February 2012 - 11:54 PM in Wii U Hardware

I wouldn't mind if they got rid of them, but Nintendo's definitely keeping them around.

#58069 What is the average age group on the website I bet I'm the youngest one h...

Posted by Tux on 28 January 2012 - 12:34 AM in The Café

I am 21 years old just like the other 20+ year members I feel old -_-

I'm 21 as well. Feels weird to be more than just a year or two older than most people here.

#57772 Wii U Launch This Holiday Season

Posted by Tux on 27 January 2012 - 01:48 AM in Wii U Hardware

Holiday season essentially means fall, so sometime after September. I've worked in retail and we generally hired the seasonal "holiday" employment in late September/ early October. I'm not saying that it's the same formula Nintendo classifies holiday as, but it makes sense.

I'd guess it will be sometime in October because they would be able to get a steady stream of purchases leading into the true holiday shopping season allowing for consistently high sales figures. Although if it ends up like the Wii did, it will be selling like mad for a year straight.

#57639 I want to cancel Xbox Live

Posted by Tux on 26 January 2012 - 03:56 PM in General Gaming

Once you pay, you cannot cancel and get a refund.

#57553 RUMOR: Nintendo considering renaming the Wii U

Posted by Tux on 26 January 2012 - 12:18 PM in Wii U Hardware

I like "N-Dimension" or Nintendo Dimension because of the many different ways the console could be played.  But really when you think about what was the coolest named Nintendo home console?  The more I think about it what is or was the greatest name for any home console?  Probably another topic sorry but yeah.  What ever the name of Nintendo's home console doesn't matter as long as I got one and I'm having a blast playing.

I actually that name, it makes sense too. They keep talking about bringing the gamer into a new game world that surrounds them, dimension would work great.

#57435 Nintendo conference on thursday

Posted by Tux on 26 January 2012 - 12:09 AM in General Gaming

Is there a link to where you got this info from? I haven't heard anything about a conference.

Edit: Searched online and found one site that mentioned a conference, otherwise nothing about it. Not sure if you got the info from there, but since no other site I found mentions it I'm guessing they're wrong.

#57010 PS4 and 720 more powerful than Wii U?

According to a source in a story posted by IGN, the 720 will be 20% more powerful than the Wii U.

#56517 What do You Think Nintendo is Going to Reveal at the GDC in March?

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 07:57 PM in Wii U Hardware

All I want is confirmation on amount of controllers and online details... The rest can wait until e3

This.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them show a bit of the online system. Maybe a new demo or two showing some more ways to use the controller. I don't expect a whole lot from GDC, I think they will show games and whatnot at E3.

#56489 What games would you like to see for Wii U on E3 2012?

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 06:15 PM in Wii U Games and Software

What I'd like to see: Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, Zelda, Pokemon, and Mario game teasers at E3 2012.

What what probably end up there: Pikmin 3, Miyamoto's new IP, HD Zelda, maybe Mario.

I don't think we'll see a Zelda because Skyward Sword was just released. I think they're going to focus on what will be coming out of the system relatively soon. Probably/hopefully Pikmin 3, a new IP, and perhaps a Mario or Metroid.

#56485 FPS controls!

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 06:10 PM in General Gaming

Definitely dual analog controls. PC controls are more precise, but I just can't play an FPS with that setup over long periods of time. I'm not a fan of stylus or motion controls in a shooter.

#56484 What will Wii U game covers look like?

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 06:08 PM in Wii U Games and Software

How about both?

Nope, one or the other. Choose now!

#56482 These Exist?!

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 06:03 PM in General Gaming

Posted Image

That is all.

#56480 Project C.A.R.S.

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 05:58 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Not a huge fan of realistic racing games, but it will be great to have one on the system. Project C.A.R.S.'s graphics look beautiful.

Edit: A couple of my friends are mildly interested in the Wii U and are huge fans of racing games like this. This game could be a system seller for them. Getting these types of games on their system will be great for Nintendo.

#56477 What should Nintendo's online be called

Posted by Tux on 22 January 2012 - 05:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

Yep, Nintendo has registered the domain name for nintendonetwork.net
Basically confirms it now.

Nintendonetwork.com also expires this year, although I'm sure the person who parked it will renew. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo scooped up that domain name.

#55098 What games would you like to see for Wii U on E3 2012?

Posted by Tux on 16 January 2012 - 05:53 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'd say a Pikmin 3 demo or actual game footage, a trailer of a new IP or two, and a trailer of a new Mario/Zelda/Metroid because I'm sure one of those are in development. I think those would be reasonable options to see during E3. Obviously I'd like to see a good amount of third party demos/trailers as well.

#55097 Should the Wii U Games include DLC?

Posted by Tux on 16 January 2012 - 05:50 PM in Wii U Hardware

Nintendo not having DLC in the Wii U would be the equivalent of kicking themselves in the genitals while chewing on a power line.

You forgot to add in during a hurricane! ;)

#55007 Should the Wii U Games include DLC?

Posted by Tux on 16 January 2012 - 01:42 PM in Wii U Hardware

I'm sure there will be DLC. As others have said, the 3DS will have it. I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't continue the trend on the Wii U.

#54875 What will Wii U game covers look like?

Posted by Tux on 16 January 2012 - 01:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I want them to look like a ps3 case. I want a black cover too.

Posted ImageLike this but black

I agree with you about the PS3 cases. I really like the fact that they're smaller and more compact. They just look more appealing and are easier to store.
