I was more impressed by how accurate he got the animation and movement of Mario compared to the N64 than the fact he's on a different game engine.

But... This guy claimed to have started the Mario 64 remake Feb 2014, got people to give him money through patreon and the only actual progress he's seemed to make is smoothing out Mario's animations/movement, made him prettier and put him into unreal engine 4. He might have more to show on his twitch but it doesn't seem to have any past broadcasts so I can't see anything.

Lets see, he promised a Wii U version if we gave him more money, Nintendo fans gave him more money, then he says he couldn't make a Wii U version... Pretty sure they don't like you either.

Great games, no gimmicks, I don't come to Nintendo for touchscreen or motion control, I come to them for their games and their IP's. The casual market has fled to mobiles/tablets now so gimmicks going to sell the console, and parents who bought the Wii U didn't buy it because of it's gimmick, they bought it because of their IP's. A powerful console that gives third parties the power they need is a must,

Also GREATLY improve the online features, a ton of stuff is missing such as party chat, an actual texting system (that doesn't require you to load an entirely different app to do), notifications besides a blinking blue circle on the gamepad (Honestly it made the video chat system pointless since if you tried to call ANYONE, the only way they would know is if they click the home button after seeing the blue dot light up on the gamepad, but it mostly gets ignored because that blue dot also lights up anytime your friend logs on). If you compare the OS of the PS4 to the Wii U, it's pretty poor. If you log into a different Wii U you can't download the games you already own back, meaning if you consistantly buy digital games then something happens to your Wii U, you can't get those games back, it's gone, all £250 is just gone. Hopefully Nintendo's partnership with the japanese mobile company (who do a lot of networking) will help Nintendo with all of this stuff.

Simply put, have online multiplayer in All of your games, seriously having a game like Starfox which has local multiplayer NOT have online multiplayer is pretty bad, especially after the critisism Starfox 64 3D got for not having online and that Splatoon has just came out, which is an online game in itself.

So they announce games from years ago that still haven't come out, but they only focus on games that's coming out within 9 months? What?

The more I hear about E3 the more painful it is...

If you're slapping Animal crossing on ANOTHER board game and turning Metroid Prime into a 4 player chibbi shooter with a football game? (Not even the metroid, METROID PRIME). And no actual other games to show besides Starfox, then you've dungoofed. Hopefully this will actual make them realize what they did was pretty awful.

I'm not expecting Metroid because they said they are discussing plans on new Metroids, not actually developping new Metroids. But God I hope I'm wrong.

 

I also don't expect a Wii U Luigi's Mansion this year, but it will happen eventually.

A metroid is definitly in development by retro studios, it just a question of when it'll be announced, It could be this E3 or the next one.

There are so many things wrong with Splatoon, it's just not even fun. 

 

1. No Lobbying with friends.

4. Only 5 Maps in total, LOL

5. No Option for Pro Controller

6. Unable to Exit Lobby 

7. Limited Custimization

Looks fake, also they would never do something this big from using amiibo's seeing as how much they're out of stock, And why is it using a single player boss fight, why is it so blurry. Where would they get this render from since it's still so far away from E3, Keep splatoon away from Mario, the only thing that should be in splatoon that's mario related are bloopers.

This would be good news if it's coming out globally, but the game needs to be updated with these files on AND we'll be vsing Japanese players who are also wearing it, so wouldn't it have to come out in all regions? Otherwise we'd be squidding watching all the japanese players having fun with it while the rest of the world just watches them.

I'm loving it up to now, really fun to play, statifying to kill people and I feel like it'll be one ofmy faviourite games on the Wii U when everything has been released. Although there are things that need fixing asap, such as

Off-TV play (You can just put a minimap on the screen and use that as a map).

Pro-controller should be able to be used. After playing ranked games,

Voice chat is really really needed if I want to constantly win matches.

Be able to leave the lobby when searching for people, there's litterally no back button to just go back and switch weapons or something, which brings me to my next point

Switch weapons when searching for people, If I join a friend, I can't switch weapons unless I leave him/her alone, switch weapons and hope someone hasn't taken the spot,

Besides that (and a few already said above) it's a great game. Using the Splattershot JR for ranked battles and Aerosmith for Turf wars. Krak-On Roller if I just want to have a break and just have fun for a while. But I don't even want to attempt the charger again, that gun just isn't for me.

It is a micro direct before E3. most likely to tell people the smaller games that are coming out/are already out so they don't need to show it at e3

GAME is a pretty terrible retailer anyway, kind of annoying that they usually sell all the special editions exclusively 

Game aren't terrible, heck they're the ones that get all the good preorder bonuses. I mean they're pretty bad when it comes to you trying to sell them games, since you could go to a shop around the corner from them and get £5-£10 more. The only thing they ask of you is a membership, which eventually gets you free stuff.

Is that not a legitimate complaint? Or are you just saying they maybe took it a bit too far?

This is their argument "There’s also no way to party up with a group of friends and remain on the same team from match to match, no way to set up a private match or customize arena settings, no way to adjust weapon and gear selections between matches... hell you can’t even exit the multiplayer game lobby at all once it’s begun searching for other players, unless you completely power off your Wii U. What, really?" This was their negatives about the game, that and not being able to communicate between people.
