There are so many things wrong with Splatoon, it's just not even fun.

1. No Lobbying with friends.

2. Only One Online Mode

3. Unbalanced Weapons

4. Only 5 Maps in total, LOL

5. No Option for Pro Controller

6. Unable to Exit Lobby

7. Limited Custimization

8. Unable to change wepaons without leaving lobby

9 Do I even have to mention no Mics?

Yeah the game mechanics work and the game looks pretty. But it's a bad game.

I've been hearing a lot of this lately. I hope that the content Nintendo promises comes soon, I haven't gotten the game yet, but I'd like to at some point. I just don't feel like the $60 price point is justified right now.

10. No invincibilty when you spawn makes for easy spawn camping

11. Can't choose to play on the same team with your friends

12. Only 2 Maps every 2 Hours is just so stupid.

13. Weapon Locked Abilities.

It's not a bad game in terms of mechanics and gameplay, both are really solid. It just suffers immensely from a lack of content and bad design decisions.

It's simply unfinished. If someone would ask me if they should pick up the game I would tell them to wait until winter when the rest of the game is patched in.

Yeah, that's what has me hopeful. I know they wanted to release the game sooner so that there wouldn't be a games drought in the summer, but I wish they had included some more content at launch.

most of the things you mentioned I don't really care about

i think it's really fun even with the lack of content, and it was cheaper than most other Nintendo games as well

It would have been so much better if they had focused more on the single player campaign.

The fact that you have to use the gamepad frustrates me. Wish I could just pick up the pro-controller and enjoy but.... no!

It's essential to use the Game Pad when playing Splatoon.  It's easier to catapult to your teammate and assist him.  You'll just have to accept it.

spawn camping is a pointless waste of time.

" A bad unfinished game"? , So when it's finished, it is still going to be bad?

I would suggest, if anything, Splatoon is a good, unfinished game. At least in regards to online content.

I agree that the words were poorly chosen, unfinished to me sounds like the game plays like rainbow but that isn't the case, the gameplay is fine. It's a complete game with nothing to do.

The offline Dojo, as far as I know, is only 1v1, so there's really no other teammate to jump to.

That said, it'd still be nice to have.

Thats the point I am making. 1 vs 1 I should be able to pick up the pro-controller and enjoy the game without having to use the gamepad.

all this hate for the gamepad and it's just a pro controller with a screen in the middle. geesh. LOL

Most likely the reason is they want players to realize that when playing single player and multiplayer online, the only option is with the gamepad, so forcing it's use in 1vs1 makes sense. This way people are familiar with the controls and feel when playing, it's the main controller that the game was built for.

YOU can, just make the other player use the gamepad. LMAO

Just because they are releasing the rest of the game for free in updates doesn't excuse the sheer lack of content.

But by releasing it "unfinished" instead of delaying it, we all have something new to play on the Wii U right now.

I dunno about you but I know I would certainly rather have something than nothing.
