The girl was always seemingly happy.
The girl had friends that made her laugh.
A boyfriend.
Her family wasn't poor.
But I would have never guessed,
What was really going on.
Deep inside she kept her sadness,
Locked inside of her.
No one one would ever know,
Until it was too late.
It was a late Sunday night that the girl took her own life.
The teacher told us of her the next day.
Silence was the only thing I heard when we were informed.
Silence was the only thing I spoke.
The seat in which she sat,
Empty.
Here a few days ago, now gone.
Gone

Nice.
It seems like you took inspiration from another poem I remember reading. 'Richard Cory'. I don't know if you've ever read it.

It's amazing how the the human mind does not process the the fact I used the word "the" twice in a row in this sentence.
