I would actually perfer a major slowdown in the FPS genre, with the unique ones still come out. Call of Duty is one of those games I will say that needs a break from the one game each year thing.

Well, the fps are getting better every year (Not CoD but Battlefield). The same goes for Mario. But it's the same every time (expect for the spin offs) so I don't see much of a difference between those. But still Mario is more fun to play. In fps you kill people with a weapon. In mario games you jump on platforms, the only change is the levels and graphics for those. (I'm indeed talking about the 2D side scrolling mario).
