Going to make a crazy, completely illogical prediction for 2015: With the money from owning the two biggest box office draws of 2015, we will hear something about Disney trying to buy/co-sign/something with Nintendo. The idea of a Disney Box where all the Disney games are released is too strong of a draw for Stock Holders, and out of the big 3, Nintendo is the biggest competition for the Disney Age range.

Eh, Nintendo wasn't going to be bought by MS. However, I do think that a Disney Acquisition makes more sense, as again, they overlap in a lot of Markets, Disney's backing could make it be more feasable for a loss leader, Nintendo would be able to have access to IP's to bolster its Library, Disney could start on putting to use Nintendo's IPs elsewhere, etc. It would probably result in a Marvel Studios situation, where Disney is hands off on Production of content mostly but help...

My feels after watching the Imitation Game. Such a good movie, but the ending is just raw sadness refined. Easily cracks my top 5, which is now 2 Biopics, an Animated Film, GotG, and Shawshank.

Bull crap Mourn. Seriously, look at the VGC's for this year. We had a Pokemon widely considered a jokw by everyone be the key component in a victory. There's the while completely different communities for Singles and Doubles, etc. If you're calling Smogon's tier list trash, then I'd agree partially, hut the whole metagame singlehandedly beats out nearly every other Metagame.

In what world is a number crunching-based metagame interesting? In what world is a loud out system metagame an interesting metagame compared to a metagame that allows you to choose all your available options all the time?

It's not number crunching metagame, it's strategy based. Sure, you could just play by the books and use SE moves, but in Pokemon's Metagame status moves, etc, can be a lot more useful then just raw damage. Pokemon is about reactions and preparing for whatever your enemy could have ahead of the battle. Again, the Pachirisu as Worlds just proves this. Most of its moves were built around redirecting damage, inflicting statuses, and acting as a support Pokemon.
