I did get Mario Party 9, yes, because I wanted to give the "new" mechanic a try. It sucked. Played it for maybe 20 minutes. Bring back the old mechanic.

I'd still suggest you get MP10. Or at least try it. The amiibo party mode is basically classic Mario Party.

Mario Party is just another great game to play when friends are over who may or may not be gamers. It joins the list of Nintendoland , Game and Wario and Wii Party U of my go to party games. Fun can be had with them all IMO.

This year is my favorite year, if only because the two new IPs Nintendo's launching are effectively the big "Screw you" to the people who go "Nintendo Never makes new games".
Oh, what's that? Nintendo makes no new IPs? Excuse me, I can't hear you over me playing my Steampunk Strategy Game starring Folklore characters on my 3DS and my Paintball Squid Shooter on my Wii U.

Wii. :) It's funny, MKWii feels like classic to me since it's the first one I played. And the CRT really helps with that.

Now I need to get a couple more Wiimotes... The whole reason I'm doing this is so my nephew can play games without me having to set it up for him, and if we want to play a different game or watch something, he can still play. :P
