Well, I just started playing Metroid Prime 3 for the first time... Holy cow, this is one of the coolest games I've ever played.

From what I've seen in LP's, MP3 takes away some of that feeling of being alone, but also makes the game feel huge. I'm dying to play it after MP2.

Yeah I definitely don't feel alone, but so far, there's always something to do, and it's always so cool... The second game was more realistic in its openness, I suppose, but there were some boring parts and I got stuck sometimes.

MP3 was the worst game in the MPT. I'm alone in that, but it just didn't feel right.

Well, I finished up Metroid Prime 2 a bit ago... The Ing Emperor is the most annoying thing I've ever seen.

...through the menus all the time, which I had never done before for a game, so that was cool. It took me 20 hours to complete, compared to Prime 1's 7 hours, so it's considerably longer and more complex.
So yeah, the action itself isn't that much harder, but they really don't tell you where to go or what to do, there's a lot of detective work to do.

I'm the black sheep in that 1>2>3 in terms of MP games. Yes, Echoes had issues in design(What was with Nintendo and Fetchquests in GC Era games?) The game is still underappreciated.
Next you move onto Prime 3, which should be fun to play :P
