:shrug: I honestly have no idea. To quote a friend, reading and understanding the United States tax code is about as easy as reading War and Peace in Russian...backwards. I'm actually not charged taxes on any digital purchases in Missouri, 3DS or otherwise. Nor am I charged tax on the prepaid cards.

I Know I have never been charged tax on Newegg and Steam and my brother says that on xbox digital store he is not charged for tax so its apparently a Nintendo only thing to charge digital tax if your from Ohio as its the only one that I know of that does it.
