Music should have some kind of visual entertainment to go along with it in my opinion. Since I don't have a laptop fit to render adobe after affects without overheating, I just use anime visuals that match the music and I freeze the image when the climax hits, or somewhere that flows well with the song. It helps promote the song as well as the anime. I have made a few fully animated promotions though like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77jIqm1QW8Q

I like to see music as a way to express emotion. The visual animation part of it enhances that and basically solidifies the emotional side. If that makes sense lol.

Of course music helps with and can even express emotions, and having nice visuals can enhance the experience of listening to a song, but I personally don't see this method (brief animation followed by still image throughout most of video) doing quite as effective a job as compared to an actual "music video", if you will. xD To each their own, tho.

You shouldn't talk down your work when presenting it, let people judge it by themselves. I know it is tempting, but make it a rule not to do that. :)

I know. But it will make people go in with the wrong state of mind, and it could cause you to miss some people who would otherwise have been moved by your music. Just some advice.

Spending the weekend with my girlfriend was well needed. Except I have the fever and I had a lot of trouble moving my arms when I was driving home. Anyone know why my arms went numb for some reason?
