So i just saw someone try to criticize Nintendo's games as the same thing over and over again because that's how how DmC is. i... what?

Do you need to use motion plus for smash on wii u? I thought you did but apparently a friend of mine has been able to use standard wiimotes

Spending the weekend with my girlfriend was well needed. Except I have the fever and I had a lot of trouble moving my arms when I was driving home. Anyone know why my arms went numb for some reason?

Well, Toilet_Snaker, the fact that 3/6 of Nintendo's home console's have had "poor" sales maybe tells us that these aren't really poor sales and is really the average a Nintendo console sells these days. The Wii was a one off where they tapped into the "casual" demographic but as long as Nintendo sell enough consoles to make a profit then they're fine.

But I agree with you, the three consoles you mentioned are also my favourites.

Also worth noting that despite the supposed poor sales nintendo is still the richest console company. And that their portable are pretty much always very successful.

Tried some smartphone games... either i suck at playing with smartphones or some genres just weren't meant to use the touchscreen! Disappointed :(

Eh, when something works on Mobile, it works well. I'm thinking Ingress. However, the lack of actual controls is a weird barrier. I do think that games that are built around constant companionship could work(Something like Animal Crossing for phones but not freemium.) I do think they can have unique and good games on them, but there's the big barriers of pricing for the market and keeping a dedicated consumer base on a extremely fickle market. Think PC's in a sense, where despite...

Being all in one devices they still can host some spectacular games.

I've only download free games of course, but in terms of controls, some genres really need some actual controls, other are fine on a touch screen. Asphalt 8, for exemple, works well because you only have to rotate the device.
Animal Crossing games can work because they don't really need the accuracy of buttons.
And WHY do they need online to be played? why?

Thinking about taking and old dell laptop with a bad HDD in a closet and putting a small cheap seagate HDD on it and installing ubuntu as a project and backup PC.

What's the RAM on it? Modern Ubuntu(Stock, not Xubuntu/Lubuntu) seems to have issues with some older laptops due to RAM with all the stuff that Unity does.
If it's not running Ubuntu well, I'd reccomend(off of the top of my head, haven't had Linux due to issues on my PC due to AMD drivers) Linux Mint.

Oh, then that should work fine. Old made me think 1GB or under, which has some issues with Ubuntu according to various sources.

meh. I use to get hyped for it but it's the same crap every year. 95 % phones, tablets and appliances that are "smart". the really good stuff hardly ever gets any coverage.

Well I played some NES Remix. Seems like some small normal challenges, not remixes like advertised.

Yeah I figured that, just a little dissapointing, considering I also have it on digital so $60 went to it. But my fault. Guess its a good way to experience some NES has I never really had one.
