This has probably been suggested before...(In fact, I'm sure it has) But what if Nintnedo doesn't want to sell UTablets seperatly right is away is becuase, rather than the cost, they don't want consumers to think its a peripheral for the wii? Just what I'm thinkin atm.

    It's not, trust me. The Wii U controller requires its own wireless transceiver because of its extraordinary bandwidth requirements.

    @Feld0 That's exactly what I think.

    @Gamecollector Are you sure? I think you're mixing that up with the fact that you can use WiiMotes with the Wii U. I doubt the Wii could handle the Wii U's controller.

    Proof that the Wii U controller requires a Wii U is in its patent. The patent has a few schematics which show a dedicated transceiver module in the Wii U console for the controller. Wii Remotes use a separate Bluetooth module to communicate with the console. The Wii has a Bluetooth module, but lacks the Wii U controller module.
