Nothing is wrong with Donkey Kong, but the way this appearance by Reggie has been pushed, a simple reveal of Cranky Kong or a new trailer for Donkey Kong is simply a bad marketing move given the time, demographic and state of the Wii U.

additionally, DKTF has been very accessible to fans ever since e3. We got a new trailer recently, and demos have been available at e3 kiosks and at Wii U Holiday experiences all across malls in the US. Also, GT TV did a full show on DKCTF last month talking to Reggie and Bill. Nintendo can push DKTF further in January with a direct and marketing, but now is not the time to build up a huge announcement or reveal only to see more DKTF.

This appearance of Reggie has not been pushed by Nintendo, but by fans. Chances are it's nothing amazing. Just don't be getting over hyped as that will only become disappointment, and I'm fed up with people saying how disappointed and angry they are at games...
