I just found out that resting my 3DS on my laptop causes it to black out for a second.

It might be that it makes it go into sleep mode while it's still open. It made my screen and wifi turn off for a second then resumed where I left off.

Magnets. Don't stack stuff up it can mess them up since it will have a magnet in the wrong place. I had a DS get lock in sleep mode and had to press and hold to power off
