I just got Smash U. I always thought I was good at Melee, but now I played Smash U online and I realized I suck. Can you guys help me to suck less?

So am I supposed to keep playing for glory until I learn how to not suck, is that really better than reading guides or whatever? I doubt it helps offline games a lot.

Alright, kidding. I played a lot of Smash today, online and offline. Offline with my Amiibo (level 20) against level 9 CPU and we did quite well (look, I treated my collectable figure as if it were a real person). Got cut off, sigh. They didn't seem that good, but some of them were. Then I played against a friend and his friend and got rekt (safe for a few matches where I just barely won). It's kind of annoying to be defeated by characters that I'm not really good with like Kirby and Bowser Jr. I'm maining Bowser by the way. His groundpound and side smash are amazingly powerful, he's just slow as F.

Ok, on tiers, it probably the least important thing right now. The game is in such early stages that isn't even really a tier list right now, and ony one that's around is basically just a couple people's opinions on a game that barely even has a meta right now and aren't really to be taken seriously.
For the rest of the stuff I made a post in that topic I linked earlier: http://thewiiu.com/topic/21595-super-smash-bros-tips-topic/?p=306072
