Well, my 3DS just lost all R button usability. Looks like I'll be giving Customer Support a call.

@Brian: I haven't been in any smoke filled ares, and keep my hands clean.
@Aaron: It started a month or two ago when playing OoT3D. I'd hold it down to use my shield, and in start switching in and out of defense position like crazy. so far it had only been an every now and then thing, but it hasn't worked at all since yesterday.
@Blue Link: I already couldn't do tricks in Mario Kart 7. :P

Probably. However, since it didn't last too long, I thought it was a one time, freak thing. It didn't happen again until I got Metroid Fusion, and once again, it didn't last long.
