Aparently Club Nintendo codes can be reused. The CN codes on all the used games I have bought in the past registered just fine for me.

I remember when I got Dragon Quest IX used a couple years ago and the CN code stil worked was awesome. But as sroce says previous owner just didn't use them

Some people don't enter the codes and they return them. Love it when your that lucky lol.
