They apparently added the 'vitality' censor to the controllers...which doesn't exactly work out in the end run...which is why Nintendo didn't release it already.

Nintendo is still able to change a lot of things on the Wii U controller/console because it's still a year away from release.

Yup. I think the general rule for gaming (most of the time) should be, if Nintendo hasn't done it already...it probably isn't worth doing.
