The mechanics of Pokemon lend themselves well to a game that last around 40 hours. Somewhere around there is where it starts to get boring, and as such the game shouldn't last longer than that time. Black 2 lasted me about 60 hours, which equates to about 1/3 of the game being boring. That's why I was excited for the game to be over.
