I've been playing the new Tomb Raider, and kinda shocked at how atrocious the story is. :/ I mean, the game is well built, so I'll keep playing, but man, it's got some pretty terrible writing.

Yeah, it's pretty much torture porn.
It's funny how everyone says that the Lara Croft in this game is a "strong female character" when she spends the majority of the game crying.

^well this is an origin story. Before the events of this game she was just a rich girl who wanted to a treasure hunter. But her experience on the island hardens her and turns her into the strong lara croft we know. Also a "strong" character doesnt mean they dont get scared or cry or feel pain, she shows perseverance and bravery which make her a strong character.
