I played Guilty Gear before I bought either of them actually. I didn't notice a speed change. I do like BlazBlue more because I can combo a lot easier in it and I'm not freaked out by most of the characters like the ones in Guilty Gear.

Really? I definitely felt Blazblue as too slow after I came back to it from Guilty Gear. It's probably one of those things you only notice with experience.
What character are you playing as?
