LOL* is not a word it's an acronym and it was a correction. "Laughing out loud, always start your sentence with a capital letter." That makes no sense so it had to be a new sentence otherwise you're still wrong. If it wasn't a new sentence you would have to write "Laughing out loud; always start your sentence with a capital letter." Well that semicolon is probably correct, but I'm not too good in grammar. You're still wrong either way though.
