@AdmiralClassy: If that were true, the All-Star mode would still have a lock sign and the "every character is now usable" notification wouldn't appear. DLC is the best you can hope for. For now.

Maybe the lock will reappear with an update when the wii u version launches?
That way it can be a surprise until launch
