If Nintendo doesn`t get the HW going up, no matter how much Mario games sell overtime, this won`t do a lot. If they can kickstart the console`s momentum again, Mario 3D World might get close to 1M or even cross that mark.

True. But if Wii U can`t sell in better numbers, so won`t Mario or any other game.
