Speaking for myself, I am not doing this blindly. I have a clear understanding of what Nintendo is as a company and what they stand for. I am choosing to share my excitement for Wii U publicly, with a group of fellow Nintendo fans, so that maybe someone who doesn't know about Wii U will have the opportunity to enjoy Nintendo as well. If that fits your condescending definition of a "fanboy", then so be it.

Don't try to force something on other people and you won't be a fangirl.

I'm not forcing anything on anybody. People can choose to see what the twitter trend is all about if they wish, or they can choose not to. When did it become feax pas to support a company that has consistently satisfied my wants/needs for their particular market? We're not emailing or PMing people directly. Our intentions are to build awareness and hype for a company's new product on a public forum. It's the same principle as wearing a Nintendo t-shirt in public.
