Looks like Sims 4 came out just as I suspected, a gimped version of Sims 3.

I'll probably pick it up when a couple expansion are out and it's on sale. Shame it's lacking because I am a big sims fan.

I just can't bare the load screens. Okay Sims 3 took way too long to load but to have a load screen when visiting neighbours and not able to go further then the end of your street. I can't do that

I'm surprised anybody actually bought it. Having played since The Sims 1, I could tell this one wasn't worth a penny from shortly after the showed it. (you know, there was a whole year where they released almost no information on it whatsoever... And people really wondered why?)
