We actually already have a forum awards. It's being run by the member Chaotix, and will be in April 2013. Though the prospect of giving out prizes to the winners is very interesting.

We have an award system. Recognition is the actual award though. And this year's awards are going to be held sometime soon. Possibly October like last year.

I wouldn't call it a system.
People are asked some stupid choices and even stupider nominations and google docs calculates the winners.
Awards will hopefully never be officially sanctioned here.
