If they make the mistake, surely they will receive a warning or get a more serious response from the staff as the situation deserves,
Imagine you're new, you make an introduction thread, and then go to hardware help because you can't sync your wiimote only to be told "Nope, chuck testa. Also you can't post new threads until 5 minutes from now".
You'd leave the forum.
And these people aren't a problem at all imo.

Then they wouldn't be able to make Introduction threads.it would be nice if new members under 20 quality posts couldnt make a topic and those who can make a topic can only make 1 an hour
Or do you mean threads that count as posts?

There would have to be some exceptions to the rules, and the limit should probably be at 2-3. But I understand your concern.Imagine you're new, you make an introduction thread, and then go to hardware help because you can't sync your wiimote only to be told "Nope, chuck testa. Also you can't post new threads until 5 minutes from now".

I just don't want situations where someone (dtrexgaming is the most recent incident) posts 5 topics all at once, fills the entire recent topics list, and causes all other recent topics to be pushed away and not found as easily. I think it is unnecessary that you can post that many topics in such a short time frame.

I think roleplay/spam shouldn't be in the recent thread list at all.

This would actually be a great idea. I also believe another member mentioned that only the gaming section should be in recent topics.I think roleplay/spam shouldn't be in the recent thread list at all.

I mean, that kind of thing would only work IF people used appropriate topic titles, something that I've long suggested in Site News and Feedback, and approved by Feld0 among others.
