If this is real I seriously hope it comes to the wii u.

About the game.... uhhh..... Shenmue games seem a bit outdated in that the open worlds have nothing to do in comparison to the saints row games and JC2 ect.

If they "modernise it" then yeah this is... fine. lol I dont really know :3

 

What are your opinions on the game?

 

Also what do you think about them using kickstarter for this?

Shenmue was the first game of its kind. And awesome as well. So long as they get rid of the QTEs, it would do well with an update.

Of course it seems dated. It's old.

But a new, modern Shenmue would be great.

I'd love to see this, but Yu Suzuki said he would like to possibly explore Kickstarter as a way to finish the story. someone got way to excited and jumped to conclusions.

I don't see this happening to be honest. The IP belongs to Sega as a company and they've shown no real interest in bringing it back. I also agree that article has probably taken things out of context.

Shenmue 3 is all but a pipe dream at this point. It's a shame really, but the over ambitiousness of the first two and extremely high budget killed any chance this franchise ever had at being successful.
