I'd probably be very disappointed if Nintendo stopped making consoles, and I think they probably won't stop. But if they did, I'd probably continue gaming on my PC/Laptop and on Sony consoles. I don't want to buy a Microsoft console for various reasons ( exclusives don't interest me, paid online, etc.).
What will you do if the Wii U is Nintendo's last ever console?

I would probably be very unhappy if they did that. If they did, I would stick to pc, as I don't have an interest in the Playstation consoles, and Microsoft's paid online service for the X-Box 360 and their following consoles immediately deters me.

I would keep all of my old Nintendo consoles and games so I could always remember their awesomness, I would build a shrine to Nintendo in my bedroom and have arguements with my fiancee over it, I would save up my money and build a gaming PC because I'm sick of Xbox, I would also open a Steam account, I may buy a PS4 but I'm still very undecided on that.

If said event happened then I'd simply do all indie pc and retro gaming.
Though if someone goes down this gen, I'd bank on Sony, sure they're good to their fans, but they've made some bad buisness decisions (lack of Vita price cut for a while and cost of ps3 at launch to name a few) and they lack the kind of brand power that nintendo and microsoft have.

Kill myself. But I met Reggie's son in 2032 once, and Nintendos still around. They made the virtual boy conecept work.

And if by some strange turn of events in an alternate reality, Nintendo stopped making gaming hardware, then people would game on whatever hardware Nintendo games were being played on.
But in the real world, Nintendo will be forcing others to follow their lead for a long time.

To be honest I'd kind of prefer it. Except for the DSi, the entire DS and 3DS line feels cheaply made. Nintendo games on hardware like the Vita would be great.
Although Nintendo just making better hardware would be preferable.

For the most part I stick with Sony & Nintendo. I own many many systems but my favorite systems are from Sony & Nintendo. I think I'll skip out on M$ this time, I loved the first XBOX but the 360 just wasn't for me I barely use mine.. (well when I want to play Banjo-Kazooie in HD).

It won't be their last. People forget just how much money they made on the Wii and DS. They'll be around forever.
Fixed.

except I'd hope Nintendo would release on steam.
Nintendo X Steam would be a match made in heaven
I almost hope they fail now :X
Turn on my computer, open steam, see the daily deal being **insert any Nintendo game here** OH MY GOD $5!!!!!!!!!

Nothing will change for me really.
I highly doubt the end of console gaming is closing in on us, as hardware improvements slow down, gaming consoles become obsolete at a much slower rate and thus more valuable.
There's a lot still to explore with console gaming in the future, systems that project images themselves, no need for TV, virtual reality, thought controlled gaming just to name a few.
Obviously these are all achievable with a PC but I believe a dedicated platform would be better.

Wow. I'd probably either stop altogether or move to Sony. Nintendo is perfect for me and my family. Sony is the closest thing to them.

Well if that did happen, not only would I die inside, but I'd either stop gaming or move to Sony. Sony would have to really convince me to play their games though.

I'd keep on playing the old Nintendo games; I haven't played nearly as many as I should.
Once I was done with that, I might move to PC gaming; I've done a bit of that.
