Oh god... so many to choose from. ;-; I... I can't pick one! I guess I'd go with Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, Super Mario RPG, Pokemon and then Earthbound. I really like each rpg in their own special way, so I can't really pick a favorite since I love them all.

I think the Pokemon series was the best when it was still new, but now it's the same damn game over and over again, and they don't make home console versions which I don't like. But I've not played the others....so Pokemon

Earthbound and Mario & Luigi are both some of my absolute favorites, but Paper Mario barely wins over them for me because of TTYD alone. I just wish they would make another decent one, since Super Paper Mario was just "good" and Sticker Star was a huge disappointment.

Pokemon SUCKS! Its just the same crap over and over and over again! Its so cheap! They havent even bothered to update the graphics!

Pocket Monsters? Nope don't see any reason here why the main series should be exclusive to Handhelds.

Toward home consoles   

 

I think Pokemon needs to "evolve" toward a home console version. It just seems all that home consoles get is absolute rubbish Pokemon games (just look at Pokemon Rumble U) apart from Pokemon Stadium for N64 - That was awesome.

Every Nintendo console since the N64 has gotten at least one "core" Pokemon game, the Wii U will be no different, just be patient

Pokemon red because it introduced me to an RPG that helped warped my fragile little mind, pokemon 4 ever

VERY tough vote, went with Fire emblem, simply because i like the strategy and depth of characters. 

 

Pokemon would be a very close 2nd in this case, since Advance wars is not in the category.

Mario and Luigi defiantly has the beat humor and possibly the most engaging combat system, cause you can't just watch the attacks unfold. I know that's in the other Mario rpg's but it uses it the best in M&L.

I know. In Pokemon you just choose the freakin attack and watch them do it. Nothing more nothing less.

But in Mario & Luigi = awesomeness. You use timing and there are bros attacks and stuff.

You think it has a better combat system and humor than Paper Mario : The Thousand Year Door? That was one of my favorite games of all time! I had to go with Fire Emblem though, because of Awakening. One of the best games I've ever played.  This was such a hard poll though... Never make me go through anything that painful again

Defenetly: the timed button presses are necessary in Mario and Luigi; not so much in Paper Mario. Luigi's antics, his rivalry with Starlow in Bowser's Inside Story, Bowser in general, the first game starts out by seeing Toad walk into Mario in the freaking shower! I agree that this was painful: picking between Earthbound, Paper Mario, Pokemon, and Mario and Luigi hurt a lot, even if it was clear for me.
