So for fun what would you have called the Wii U?

 

A few ideas for me is use the Revolution code word of the Wii as the name. I've always wanted to have a SNES-2 ​ as well. Or maybe the Nintendo Vortex

 

How about you, are you happy with the Wii U branding?

The Póó to go with the Wii lmao, seriously though I liked the Wii's codename the Revolution, they should of used that, I would have called it though "TvDs" lmao I'm terrible too I have no good ideas, seriously took me 20 mins to think of "TvDs" please excuse me while I go throw myself off a building.

I always liked the name gamecube.. maybe wiicube, but the wii u it'sself is not very cubed shaped.

I seriously think the Wii U should of been called the Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System or Ultra Nintendo for short

 

Not only would it keep the U in the name but also establish the Wii U as a brand new console and be a nice throw back to the SNES.

Yeah definitely if they made it almost a direct successor to the SNES, maybe gave it a neo-retro look too.

I liked Nintendo Stream. I also like UNES, but that's similar to anus. And Nintendo didn't want those jokes again I am sure.

I honestly thought they were going to call it Nintendo Revolution.  I was a bit disappointed they didn't, but 'Wii' doesn't sound nearly as bad when you consider that its competitors are called 'Xbox' and 'Playstation'.  It's almost as if there's conspiracy to have some reference to porn in all the consoles' names.

I just think having Wii U associated with the Wii was the worst mistake they could have made. Just because your previous console was a commercial success, doesn't mean it was a success among gamers. I mean it pissed a lot of people off.

 

If it was the Nintendo Revolution. You'd have taken away that connotation with lack of third party, shovel-ware and gathering dust away. Plus people would definitely know it was a new console, instead of an expensive accessory to your current Wii console.

 

Sorry for going a bit off-topic there, hand to get that rant out.

Damn UNES would have sounded amazing! I guess they wouldn't have called it that though because they don't want to constantly be associated to the past... But that's a great name. I would have chosen this one.
