It's too late this gen, but I really hope Nintendo goes back to the NES next gen.

Sort of full circle. Like the one device to do it all. Games, movies, various fun stuff, etc.

The wii u is building a foundation for all of those things.

The all new Nintendo Entertainment System.

Unless....The next Nintendo console is just entirely one super awesome GPU which is custom built takes on ALL CPU tasks!

I think going back to NES would be pretty neat. Really show that this is THE console, just as the NES was in its day. As for name, keep it similar to NES. UNES isn't a bad start, but it needs to be a little different. Can't have consumers thinking it's the new NES.

Instead of UNES, why not NESU? Nintendo Entertainment System Ultimate?

 

Sure it sounds kinda dorky, but I like it better than UNES.

 

Or how about completely dropping the "ultimate"?
